About The House
Maison St Louis is a beautiful, sprawling gite complex set in the rolling hills of South Western France. With beautifully proportioned accommodation, retaining many period features, all two/three Gites offer an authentic French experience. Each Gite is comfortably furnished and equipped with everything you’ll need to have a relaxing stay. Outside, each Gite has its own shaded pergola, with dining table and BBQ. In all we provide accommodation for a maximum of 25 guests but we normally have around 20 at any one time throughout the summer months.
Furry friends are welcome (at a small extra charge). Smoking is not permitted inside the Gites.
Without doubt it is the magnificent pool area which sets us apart. The main pool is 7.5m x 12m with an 8m x 2.5m diving area attached. There is a separate children’s splash pool measuring 3m x 3m. This is all surrounded by over 330m2 of terracing with 22 full sunbeds and 3 or 4 seat lounge sets, all under shaded pergolas, so you never have to worry about finding your place.

St Louis has 5 bedrooms and sleeps 13 people.
What to Do
Beaches
The South-West coastline of France boasts miles of sandy beaches, with water sports, restaurants, tree climbing, nature trails and so much more.
Recommended beaches are:
Arcachon (largest sand dune in Europe)
All are within a couple of hours of Maison St Louis
Inland lakes
Within 5 mins you can be at one of the many wonderful inland lakes found in France. Relax on the beaches that frame the lake, wander through the woodland, paddle board, kayak or simply relax.
Cities & Villages
Whether you want to explore the bustling cities , see historical Roman ruins or meander the cobbled streets of a quaint french village there is something for everyone.

Inland lakes
Here in SW France we have a micro climate which makes our area the second sunniest department in France, which is perfect for vine growing.
The local wine of the area is ‘Pineau’ which is close to a dessert wine and in Cognac which is approx 40mins from us they make Cognac.. not Brandy!
You can visit either a vineyard or cognac house and experience the wonders of both.
